While I do think Gonzaga is a premier national program and a for sure top 15 program, maybe top 10, but by no means are they deserving of a #2 ranking for their body of work this year. Their best win is probably against Oregon, or maybe even BYU for that matter now. Oregon is a good team, but have lost 3 games in February in the weak PAC-12, so I’d rank them from #25-#20. I know that this makes BYU’s win last night look not as good, and I wish it wouldn’t, but I don’t think beating Gonzaga is on the same level like beating a Kansas, Baylor, Duke, or some other top teams out there this year. Same goes for our loss to SDSU. They were never a #4 team in the nation in my opinion for similar reasons, but still a top 15 program.

That all said, I think BYU is deserving of a #17 or #16 ranking because of how well we can score and because we have Yoeli. Lots of our losses would be wins if we had him for every game.
