Our world is infected… so we are producing antibodies to fight that infection…
However, the antibodies also affect healthy cells…(people).
It is a legit question. Great Britain is pursuing a different policy. They are essentially betting on rapid herd immunity…
Eventually the world will have herd immunity…the question becomes, do you take all of your medicine quickly… or do you try to stretch it out so that it's not as nasty.
I get the logic for both points... and I don't have a clue what the right answer is.
Next year at this time, we will have a good idea at what process was most effective in the aggregate. But it's going to be a while before we really know what we did well, and what we did poorly.
