Test 100k people with a 90% accurate test you can get 10k false pos
Imagine 100 are actually sick. That's a lot of noise to complicate your effort.
I've read some tests can be 50% or worse (see links at the bottom of this thread) The point is testing is complicated, it doesn't provide a perfect answer and can blur the picture.
