“Remained very British” is my grandmother as well. She loved the USA
But remained very British as well.
She immigrated in her early 20s. I loved her great accent.
She had a room in her house we never dared step foot in....table set w/ her china as if the queen of England could stop in at a moments notice & need dinner.
Sadly my Grandma died when I was only 7 y/o.
