to be an unoriginal nostalgia fest and Rian Johnson tried to make it something unique and different. I think he set things up perfectly for Rey to usher in a new era of Jedi that has a little dark side in them and that's okay. I had a hard time with the rise of skywalker, I liked it in a vacuum, but when compared to The Last Jedi it makes zero sense. Super disappointing as a trilogy but I liked all 3 movies individually.
