I have 9 and 10 yr old girls and we go through 2 gallons a week.
They eat cereal most mornings and have a glass with dinner often. I have a glass of nesquick most nights. Love me some chocolate melk

It's not like it has an indefinite shelf life. We buy 5 or 6 at a time.

Man it's amazing to me how much milk some families go through. My family of five uses maybe a couple gallons a month.
