Scientists across the country were still in search of a cure for the coronavirus disease 2019, or COVID-19, on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Clinical trials were underway as doctors tried to find a way to treat the deadly virus. Marcus Zervos, infectious disease doctor for Henry Ford Health System, said they had seen success with hydroxychloroquine therapy in a number of COVID-19 patients. He said those given the drug were able to get off a ventilator and out of the hospital faster.
