My sister, BIL, and his parents all have it.
His mom is in the hospital, but starting to do better. My sister and BIL are both healthy and in their mid 30s, but it still knocked them out pretty good. They've had it for well over a week.
It's definitely scary. I agree with the other post saying that she probably shouldn't expose her parents. Hopefully she gets well soon.
