Sucks. Remember to get all prescriptions filled and any
Medical visits in now. Take advantage of any benefits you get like annual wellness check that will disappear. Start applying to jobs like it’s a full time job. Side hustles, upwork, etc online PT work can help. Work out your story for potential employers. If it’s industry / seniority appropriate, form an entity and be a “consultant” in case it becomes lay-off and you need a resume line that you’ve been doing sonething — stay positive and get plenty of exercise to stay sane.

Set goals or work on hobbies that are non work, both to keep yourself sane but also so you have positive stuff to tAlk about if you get an interview (project: look, I am taking my time and know I’ll find a job, prob one where I can achieve and help more; but in the meantime, I’ve finally had time to complete four of the five [hikes] I’ve wanted to get done this year.”)

Turn off all your non essential expenses.

I know you said furlough but if they don’t are not required to bring you back you and don’t pay you may as well be looking and acting like the job is not coming back.
