Have two boys. 9 and 6. 9 year old is healthy, 6 year old has Cystic Fibrosis. 9 year old has been prone to croup periodically, may be a touch of asthma. About 2 weeks ago started the signature croup stuff we've seen with coughing at night etc, doc was slow to prescribe a steroid so we missed the window to knock it out. Then Friday instead of just coughing for a few minutes at night he started coughing during the day. Then Saturday it got worse. Given the risk of our other son they wanted to to do a COVID test. (That was a process and a freaking mess to be honest). Then yesterday, the coughing got worse and his pain whenever he coughed got worse. They had us back in to do an X-ray, his chest is clear, no pneumonia or blurriness in the lungs.

BUT...he's still in insane pain when he coughs (which is a lot). We'll hear about the COVID test today. Obviously hoping for a negative test because otherwise either my wife or I will have to take the 6 year old CFer and get the heck out of dodge somewhere. None of the rest of us (wife, me, and 6 yo) have any symptoms. Located in SL County.

Frustrating because we've been SO careful. We pulled our kids from school a week before the schools closed, we've been wearing masks and gloves since this thing started at stores etc. etc. We shall see.
