and 800 at the State Finals two years ago, I think there is a lot of room for improvement at the 800. She looks a lot more comfortable running the 400- which is to be expected as she was more of a pure sprinter in HS but my expectation is if she is going to become elite at track it will be in the 800. I am skeptical she will ever have the pure turnover necessary to be elite in the 200 or 100 and even the 400.
She will be a fun one to watch. Nichelle Mackie came to BYU as a sprinter in HS (400/200 focus) and she finished as the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Champ at the 800 about 10 or so years ago. I am excited to see if Hunter can follow a similar trajectory.
