I got the vaccine for my mission in Africa. Anecdotal but I tend not to get many respiratory infections...

I do get a lot of sinus infections because of hayfever but it is pretty rare to have it move to my lungs over the past 20 years.

As a side note, China now has a mandatory BCG program but was really bad at it
