Why? The too thin bit? I think he just said make sure you eat enough protein
Most distance runners eat a lot of protein already (eggs, protein shakes, etc)

Some have eating disorders, sure, but the general advice for distance runners is a balanced diet. Carbs for energy and protein for muscles. Protein shakes before bed etc...
