After listening to Criddle's interview of Jesse Wade, I have more optimism regarding Wades health. I'm one who thought Wade would have to leave the team due to a long term injury that would not heal properly.
The interview explained what happened. IIRC, Wade tore his patella tendon in Dec 2018 and tried to rehab his knee without surgery. During the summer of 2019, Wade finally realized his knee was not going to get better without surgery. Wade then had the knee repair surgery. Unfortunately, the knee didn't finish healing until after the season was over. Wade says his knee now feels great. He has zero pain and can do everything he once was able to do. The failure to heal can be attributed to the decision to delay surgery rather than a nagging injury that wouldn't respond to treatment.
I look forward to see what Wade can do at point. Wade handled the ball much of the time when he was in High School, but his Davis High team needed him as a shooter more than a play maker. I hope Wade can prove to be a play maker as well as a scorer.
