on her toes. She's rheumatoid arthritic, and the doc put pins in them and broke a few of them to straighten them (I did ask her if she was sure she didn't just get in too deep with her bookie). Recovery time is a few weeks, but she'll be able to walk without near as much pain, and she'll have a lot better balance.
She's planning on going back to work once she's recovered, and I told her she REALLY should get some steel-toes, because anything landing on her foot would be ridiculously painful, and probably put her back medically as well.
So, anyone have recommendations for a comfortable, lightweight woman's safety-toe (I assume composite would be lighter than an actual metal toe) shoe that's jazzy enough for a grandma to jaunt around town in?
