The American Heritage requirement can be fulfilled in one of two ways:
either take the American Heritage class, or take any two of US History, Economics, and US Government. (IIRC there are a few other random combinations of classes that can qualify... But you can't get credit for those via AP tests so 🤷🏼♂️)
So if you get credit through AP courses for Econ and Govt, for example, you fulfill the requirement. But if you just get credit for Govt, then you can take Econ 110 and fulfill the requirement or take American Heritage.
