This is the best possible scenario. Good excuse to finally wait til Christmas to

start the season. Not only do less people care about the NBA in the fall (due to football), but it would also eliminate the boring summer (sorry baseball) before football season starts. They could hold the playoffs in August when there is nothing else going on and everybody will watch it.
