Doubt it. Averette attended a magnet school in Texas known as 1 of top academic
high schools in the Nation.

"U.S. News & World Report rankings of the Best Schools in America, Richardson High School ranked number 711 out of 21,766 public high schools, putting it in the top 3.5% of all public high schools in the United States." This ranking was in Averette's freshman year in HS.

But i have no idea about why. There are a 1,000 possible reasons. He might not know consciously. He wants to start and wants to lead. He knows he can do it. He might be reluctant to go to a program where that chance is remote.

My view is that he has big star potential. And if he comes to BYU and his teammates have confidence in him, he will get the nod.
