died on top of the pass up there. Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, we discovered a golf ball sized hole in his oil pan which had led to a seized engine block. Granted, he was up there at night and with snow on the ground (and he always drove it liked he stole it) but managed to smack a rock on the bottom without even noticing it.
Anyway, a Subaru can make it over, but you’d have to be careful on the North side of Camel Pass.
And I never understood why Subaru’s don’t come with skid plates from the factory.
