I'm not sure how far you are into the game but it just gets more and more brutal. Definitely one of the most violent games I've played.

I really enjoyed the ride. Can see why some people didn't like the story, but I was satisfied with the ending. Can't really discuss more without spoilers...

Edit: and God of War was on another level compared to the other games mentioned. Highly recommend that and Red Dead redemption if you're looking for more to play.
