I am looking for a "portable" docking station for my laptop.

Primary purpose is to connect 2 monitors when I work from home or for when I work remotely for an extended period of time (parents house for example.) So will not be carrying with me very often. Since It will not be my primary solution, I do not need a lot of fancy capabilities.

Do i need an HDMI port for each display? Or will 1 HDMI and 1 VGA work?

My laptop has no HDMI port. I do have a USB-C port. Any recommendations on what is needed or a brand? I originally thought there would be plenty of options for <$30, but depending on what I may need, it appears I may need to pay more than that?
