When I bought my car the dealer tried to 'upsell' me on getting it ceramic coated. After looking into it, and comparing a few products on the market, I think you are better off using an 'off the shelf' SI02 product (~$20) than spending ~$1-$2k on a ceramic coat.

My neighbor had their AMG GLC 63 ceramic coated ($2k at the dealer)...
I put Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax ($15) on my car...

We've been driving them the same, washing them at the same time... and after over a month they both have the exact same hydrophobic properties.
