follow the "box office forumla" which is why they feel like retreads...because they are. No original story at all, it started with destroying the Death Star in E7 and ended with Hermione (that's the plot twist) defeating Voldamort in E9.

Then you throw in the fact that every producer/director had to instill a snippet of their politics into the film and you have a film that's pleasing to look at (thanks to the budget), but is essentially thin and devoid of story.


With Mandalorian, a guy pitched his idea and the producers didn't really take it seriously. That is obvious, because they were NOT ready with Baby Yoda dolls, but I'm sure you could get as many Porgs as you wanted in 2019.

The real question is.....will season 2 be true to season 1, or will these same producers demand that their finger-prints be all over the series and ruin it?
