That’s the problem with baseball though, it’s gone too far down the science route
Physicists, data scientists, and engineers like it, but it’s losing too much of the (trigger warning) - yes - human element.
Randomness & bad luck is key to any sport thriving. People sometimes forget what the point of sport is - it’s simply entertainment. Bad calls make the game more entertaining (within reason).
