As written by my wife:
My friend Maddie and I grew up across the street from each other. There literally wasn't a day we didn't see each other. We've gone through a lot together and my heart aches for her. A few years ago, she confided in me that she wanted kids but was terrified; all the "what it's" about pregnancy and being a mother. One of her worst fears was that her body wouldn't be able to carry children. After struggling with infertility, she and her husband found themselves finally pregnant; and with twins!! They have been over the moon with this joy; a girl and a boy.
Unfortunately, my sweet friends biggest fear became reality. She had her twins at 23 weeks on Oct. 14th. Her sweet NICU babies fought hard. Her son, Dax, passed Oct. 18th. Their beautiful daughter fought without her brother for 24 hours before she, too, passed Oct. 19th.
My heart breaks for them, I simply cannot imagine how difficult this is. They are facing medical bills for both twins and funeral costs for their sweet twins Dax and Weslie. I know this world is filled with gold hearted people. My friend Maddie is one of them! There is never a dull moment with her; always making us laugh and smile even in the hardest of times. I just want to find a way to turn her positivity back her way in her time of grief and sorrow.
Please donate if you can. At the very least, please share her story. Venmo - @maddiebbarnett GFM -
