Anything is possible, but I was surprised BYU remained in the poll when the B1G and PAC were added back in.
Then it dawned on me that with 4 conferences not playing, a hoard of coaches that would normally be working were sidelined those first few games and saw BYU (along with their SID's, although the claim that the coaches do not cast their own ballots is way overplayed and usually not true). The cfb media was equally idle and watched BYU in the absence of those other conferences.
The bottom line us the people that mattered saw BYU playing those first few weeks and were greatly impressed. I think we will see some P5 movement and possible leapfrogging, but the general consensus is that BYU really is very very good this year. If teams above BYU lose and BYU continues to win it will ultimately move into the top ten and higher in the next 5 weeks.
BYU does need at least one more game and frankly against any FBS taker at this point. I think Army may get back on Nov 28th. Perhaps UMass will consider coming to Provo November 14 or December 5th.
