Teams often, probably usually, do dribble the shot clock down before shooting
They also don't press and often avoid fouling. It's a thing in basketball; it's just not as obvious as football.
They often do some stuff in baseball, too - e.g. not stealing, bunting, or swinging freely in hitter-friendly counts.
