from the Freshman in this game was he constantly threw behind his receivers. That won't work when BYU tends to drop 7 or 8 into coverage. Even the spying DB's/LB's on RB going into the flats.
The UL QB had all kinds of time to execute his throws and his receivers were wide open. He is listed at 5'10". Not seeing CC defenders clogging the lanes or having the height and length to block passes. I understand that he has only been picked off once this year, but he does have trouble keeping ahold of the ball. Watch the USA and APP highlights.
Also there is a size and speed of that size difference. I think that while CC is a step up in competition to what BYU has faced this year. All their starters and depth have cut their teeth against P5 talent and programs. I honestly think if BYU gets an early score and BYU's size, speed and strength at the line on defense rattles McCall in the first Qtr, this could be a buzzsaw game for the Chants
