18 yo son was just in a wreck that totaled his car. Everyone is ok, but the car
has no chance of salvage.

The wreck was 100% the other driver’s fault—ran a stop sign—no one is disputing the cause of the accident.

Having never been through this sort of thing, what sort of payment should I expect from the other driver’s insurance?

- Retail value of old car?
- Do they often add a little cover purchasing costs? (taxes, licensing, registration, etc)
- “Hassle” factor of having to find another car?
- A little “extra” for the bumps, bruises, and trauma of going through the ordeal?

Thanks in advance for any advice/input.
