Sorry. It stems from the fact that they’re irrelevant (compared to other P5 conferences) because, for the most part, their fans don’t care as much as the rest of the P5 conferences. Would winning more help that? On a micro-level, individual school level, sure. In-conference wins are a zero-sum game in the pac 12.

They’re certainly more relevant than the MWC, but an afterthought when it comes to the other P5 conferences. Athletics simply means less in the pac 12, and fans are pretty indifferent. Winning wouldn’t change the school presidents priorities. It’s politics, academics, then athletics. Just how I see it.
