I am pretty conservative in my non-retirement investment account. Almost everything goes in an S&P 500 ETF and sits there. I happen to have about $10K in cash right now due to a recent stock granting that I immediately sold. With what the market was doing this morning, I thought it was a good time to buy the dip, so I put in an order to move about half of my cash into the ETF if it dropped another 1% or so.
Except, genius that I am, I clicked on "Sell" instead of "Buy", so I am the guy who sold his long-term investment at the dip.
