culture is driving the money train right now. Companies are running scared so they fire anybody accused of anything
the companies and schools are afraid of losing sponsors, customers, etc. so they bow to the cancel culture pressure.
this money factor is stronger than the marginal increase in tv rights, out of area game attendees, etc. that BYU would bring over inviting any other school into a conference.
