I have a router that has 2 different bands – 2.4 and 5.0ghz. They have different names -the 5.ghz has the same name with _5G at the end of it. I have a Nest Wifi Router combined with a separate modem.
We have quite a few Google products around our house like Chromecasts, minis, etc. All have been working well until one of the Nest Hubs wouldn’t connect to the network. After trying a few things, I finally did a factory reset. It can see the 5ghz band, but will not connect to it. I can get it to connect to the 2.4 band, but everything else is on the 5ghz band so I want to keep it there so I don’t have to change my phone network to control it.
Like I said, it was working previously, and we have another Nest Hub that has been working with no issues.
Any ideas on how to troubleshoot it? How can I tell if the device hardware just went bad?
