Hypnotoad Intervention Needed
Cool bit of game theory in a recent Jeopardy episode. Two contestants were tied
going into Final Jeopardy. The third place contestant was way behind. She bid $0 knowing that there was no way she could catch the other two, but gambled on the possibility that the two contestants that were tied would both wager all they had and get the wrong answer. She knew that adding anything to her total wasn't going to make a difference. Her strategy paid off. The other two wagered everything and got the wrong answer. She stayed pat and won with $2,000.
