Ironically Real Estate is a good hedge against inflation, or so I've read. Also
investing in emerging markets and/or international. If people feel the US stock market is overvalued, a "safe" place to put your money until the 'pop' would be a place like the Japan Nikkei (still 10,000 pts below the all time high in 1989)... some would define that as 'undervalued'.
