One of my biggest uses of editing Wikipedia was years ago when I was in a team doing a lot of interviews for hiring.
We were suspecting that a lot of the candidates in phone screens were googling the answers while we talked, so we seeded Wikipedia with a bunch of fake-but-plausible sounding technical articles. If we suspected the candidate was cheating, we would ask about one of these fake topics. Caught a couple of them reading our fake Wikipedia articles verbatim.
