I think they are better than last year personally.

Lebron hasn't regressed much, they have Drummond, Harrell and Schroder who are upgrades (though maybe not as seamless of fits) on Howard, McGee, and Rondo. Danny Green loss hurts them though. We'll see. I'm sure they would have loved to add one more 3 and D wing.
