They know the price of everything and the value of nothing. Perez and his ilk have spent decades slowly disrupting the playing field and chipping away at the simple competitive purity of European soccer. Then, when a rainy day comes, SURPRISE! All of the sudden the sport isn't as popular anymore, young people aren't watching, TV revenues are falling, etc.
Instead of looking in the mirror and realizing they've played a major part in the decline, they completely deny responsibility, and insist that they have all the answers to fix it. If only all of these annoying fans would listen...
