RE: Has been all season. 3 areas of weakness
1. They have scored a lot but mainly on quantity of shots not quality. They don’t aim, they just shoot and hope it goes past the goalie rather than try to miss the goalie.
2. Their passes are often very inaccurate and hence they lose ball a lot, particularly in midfield.
3. 4-4-2 is fine if you don’t lose the ball over and over in mid field and have serious speed in those two players. BYU does make a lot of bad passes in mid field to lose possession and doesn’t appear to have speed to recover, so 3 on 2 becomes a big problem and opponents can beat them with quick counter, as they did today.

Women’s soccer is generally good at BYU but invariable they disappear in this or the next round every year, even against lesser competition like today. Really, they should have scored 2-3 goals in the first 20 minutes today but they just don’t finish well. It is what it is!
