Obviously, if you want to spend, you can burn through a paycheck in an hour, but if you're content to going to the food courts or little shops, you get what we'd consider amazing Japanese food in the States for around $5 per person.  I'd never cook either.  I can't say we hit the Carl's Jr., but I won't judge after years of (often unhealthy) American/Mexican cravings while living abroad.
