It did not feel far different than NBA games pre-pandemic. Some fans were spaced out in every row up to the rafters. That might actually be the biggest crowd in an NBA arena this season. I was pleasantly surprised at how many seats they’ve opened up. And it was loud. You’d think it was the playoffs by the end. The concourse was also filled with people at halftime, and the plaza was buzzing on the way out. Everyone had a mask coming in, but they were not enforced in the seats, and there was no guilt trip for the many who decided to take them off while watching.
I’m not a Jazz fan, but even I can admit that Vivint might currently be the most electric sporting venue on the planet. Thank goodness the state of Utah provides a place for it. Did not realize how much I’d missed going to high-energy sporting events like tonight. Definitely something you want to attend if you can.
