and selflessness. In the 50’s, when Disneyland first opened, they had to turn people who purchased tickets away because so many people had counterfeited tickets to get in for free. And that was the “idyllic” 1950’s. Just a few years earlier “civilized” nations embraced institutionalized genocide.
Look around though, and you’ll find plenty of kindness, generosity, and care for each other too. Yesterday, in Southern California I watched a shop owner walk out to a sleeping homeless man in front of her shop and give him a meal. I love the strangers who smile and say kind things to my children when we’re out in public. Families care for one another, people work hard, much of government, churches, and organizations work to eliminate human suffering. The world is simply playing out the opposing influences of God and Satan on big and small stages everyday. Always has been, always will be, until it’s all said and done.
