A year ago, my wife attempted to chop out a dandelion from our lawn with a shovel, and cut through the old Comcast cable. It was just barely under the sod, not buried at least 6 inches deep, as required by law, and certainly not in conduit. When they replaced the line, they just left it on top of the ground, with the promise a crew would be back to bury it properly. That never happened.
So, I'm curious to see what these workers today actually mark once they're done. I'm getting Utopia next week, so this is all kind of moot anyway.
