I assume Conley is healthy and Jazz bench is Clarkson, Ingles, Favors,
Niang is rough and won’t play much with a tight 8 man rotation. I would take that bench over the Suns bench. After all, it features the top 2 vote getters for 6th man. Clarkson can completely change the trajectory of a game by himself and put the team on his back offensively for stretches of the game. Do the Suns have a guy like that?
Monte has been a head coach for 2 years. He was 5 games under .500 last year. Forgive me if I pump the brakes. That coaches award was given to the coaches of the Pistons and Thunder 2 of the last 3 years. Not exactly the “best coach” award.
Yeah, the Lakers were a mess. At 2-2, with Davis out, everyone not named Lebron shot a collective 39% FG and 26% 3PT. I’m sure you watched the series like I did. That team just gave up and it was clear they had no confidence those last two games. Congrats to the Suns, but they didn’t beat a strong, healthy, confident version of the Lakers.
This is sort of a silly argument, because I actually think the Suns are a very, very good team. I’m just not ready to give them the edge in every category like the original poster.
