"raging on suns fans" I haven't seen any of this, that is, until you posted this message and people began responding.
"Selling out," I assume you are trying to say the suns are more popular or have more dedicated fans. The Suns haven't had a higher average attendance in, at least, the last 21 years.
http://www.espn.com/nba/attendance.
"contending," I assume you are trying to say the suns have a better history of contending for a title. They have 2 conference titles and no NBA Championships. Same as the Jazz.
Jazz didn't change their name = devoid of good sense. Lakers didn't change their name. They seem to be a fairly respected franchise.
Most casual fans think the Jazz are in New Orleans...Most casual fans don't know that the Jazz were ever in New Orleans.
I haven't seen anyone suggesting Jazz are a special fanbase (though I have heard some say our fans were louder than the fans in Memphis and that Memphis pumped in fan sound from their speakers). However, these comments were prompted by specific comments made by a sideline reporter.
Good Grief*
How does the fact that SLC has only one pro team change how good the Jazz are? This seems a strange argument. Further, you must not watch soccer.
Small market team...again, average attendance has been better than suns for at least 21 years.
