I’m thinking Jazz fans, because they don’t have any other major pro teams in their market to root for, but mostly because of Stockton and Malone.

They had 2 of the greatest players in the history of the game together for a ridiculously long time, with tons of chances to build a great team around those players, and then when they finally get it together and have a great team, they ultimately have to face one of the best dynasties in the history of sports.

Suns on the other hand got quick fast after having average or below average teams when they peaked. First it was trading for Barkley, then instantly best team in NBA. Then it was signing Nash, going from non playoff team to best team in NBA. Then trading for Chris Paul, after 10 years of sucking, and becoming a couple of wins away from best team in NBA and champs. It’s like the suns didn’t have to work for it, it just kind of fell in their lap.

Meanwhile, Jazz have been consistently good for almost 30 years, just never good enough.

Plus, suns/Phoenix fans at least have Cardinals (Super Bowl and NCF championship appearances in past 15 years, and Diamondbacks who actually won World Series 20 years ago), so all their pain from the suns heartbreaks can be split among other major pro sports.

So I’m thinking Jazz fans are the ones who have had it the worse.
