the 5 stages of grief if they aren’t already there. None of them sans TCU are conference realignment battle hardened. I expect most are still in the denial phase. The anger phase comes next. This is where really stupid things can happen and they all turn on each other. This is the phase in were BYU needs to enter and start to console them (earn their confidence).

Bargaining comes next. They will try to find something that they can control. Grant of rights and exit fees, etc.

Depression will then set in as they finally begin to see how much they have lost and eventually they will accept it and begin logically working through their options.

Don’t expect anything out of this group early. They will need some time.
