What happens to fan interest if bluebloods spin off?
Say the top of the SEC joins with the best of the B10, USC, Clemson, etc.
Does the concentration of the top tier into a smaller number of teams kill off interest in the second tier, or does the second tier do fine since half the country will have no in-state "premier league" team?
