I was lucky enough to grow up 1.5 hrs from Glacier so we went there often.

Mostly went to Many Glacier and as far as Logan Pass so I'm more familiar with the East side of the park. We went river rafting on the Flathead river and often on through the park to Kalispell and area. It's one of my favorite places along with Waterton across the border.

The only hike that is hard to get parking for is Avalanche Lake. Get there early, or go after 4pm. Parking was tight at

Glacier is a far better experience than Yosemite, whether one thinks it's more beautiful or not. But I happen to agree
