TCU, San Diego State, and Boise State were all going to join the Big East (at different times) around 2010-2011.

It has always amused me how TCU ripped BYU for leaving the MWC when they tried and left pretty much every conference

Seriously, since 2000 alone TCU has gone: WAC -> Conference USA -> MWC -> Almost Big East -> Big 12
